We Need a Current Photograph

Kathleen (Swanson) Daly

I have lived all my life in Staten Island, except for a brief four-month stint in Easton, PA, when I first married.   I have been in Annadale, in the shade of Messiah Lutheran, since 1981 and am quite happy here.

I am active in the women's golf community and belong to three golf clubs.  (Thank God my mortgage is paid!)  I am on the Board of all three clubs in various positions, Tournament Chair, Handicap Chair, and Publicity Chair.  They each involve a lot of computer work, keeping the season's scores and stats for each golfer, maintaining the GHIN handicap system at home, and sending out a four page newsletter every month or so.  I also design and print scorecards for the Staten Island Women's Golf Association, which runs about six tournaments a season with up to 80 competitors participating.

I stay pretty close to the home front and don't travel beyond two or three-day trips here and there.  We are a close-knit family and the twenty-five of us get together regularly.   My Mom & Dad are 92 yrs. old this fall and are still living on Richmond Ave. where we grew up.  They pretty much have a constant stream of visitors each day.  I spend most of my days out of the house either with golf, checking in on my parents, shopping with Lynne's daughter and grandchildren, or eating out with my grandchildren (20, 18, and 17).  I read, dabble in crystal jewelry, stained glass, knitting and crocheting, as my mood dictates.  My daughter accepted the position as Parent Coordinator at P.S. 55 for the NY Board of Ed. immediately after I retired in 2002, after begging me to quit work for 20 yrs.  She is extremely busy and loves her work!

I have enjoyed our Reunion Committee meetings over the past two years with Joanne, Pat & Bert and our occasional lunches.
