Mary Jane (Connor) Barry

After graduation from Fordham, I began my teaching career at New Dorp H. S.  I married Lt. j.g. Bill Barry USCG on September 21, 1963. We have three children, Denise born September 8, 1964, Paul on December 16, 1965 and William on November 24, 1968, shortly after we moved to St. Louis.  St. Louis was our home for 30 years.

I taught every grade from sixth through 12^th, in public and private schools, and one year at St. Louis University.  In 1983, I developed and taught the first non-credit adult ed. PC courses while starting a business focused on software selection and training for businesses.  My husband, and later my son joined the business and we added networking and programming.  We sold the business in ’96, moved to Atlanta in ’98, and then retired to Florida in December of 2005.  We love living in Spring Hill, Florida.  We are in a gated community on the sixth hole of one of three golf courses that we play several times a week.  We chose a home our children and our three grandchildren, Brendan, Sean and Jake ages 10, 6 and 4 months would want to visit – and they do!
