Diana (Whitty) Mace

Since our last reunion, my husband, Phil, and I both retired and moved to Colorado to be closer to his married children in Colorado and Montana.  We also now have two darling grandchildren.  We live on the side of a small mountain at 7,500 feet, which is not easy for a sea level person like me.  It’s very beautiful here with some of the most exciting weather I have ever witnessed.  We sing in a very large, very good church choir in Colorado Springs.  In addition to singing every Sunday, the choir also gives three concerts a year.  We both love to cook and have taken advantage of our large, open floor plan to do a lot of entertaining.  My mother joined us for her last five years, dying at 96 last Fall.  She was fun to have with us and joined in our social activities and extensive travel.  We have been across the entire country but there are still many more states to go!

My sister and her family live in Maine so it’s good we have my old apartment in Massachusetts to keep up with her and our Eastern friends.  In this stage of life where family and friends are all-important, we count our blessings as people visit us.  I can hardly wait to see everybody again!
